At 6:30pm we headed off to the airport to catch our plane. The plane left at 10:30pm on Saturday, 20 October 2007. We landed in Auckland, New Zealand at 7:30am on Monday 22 October. We lost Sunday, 21 October, because we went across different time zones.

The first tour took us around Los Angeles. We visits Old Town which was the original Mexican settlement in Los Angeles. We also saw the Walt Disney Auditorium, the inner city of Los Angeles. The bus driver pointed out some buildings and told us some interesting stories about Los Angeles.

The second took took us around Beverley Hills and showed us where some of the music and movie stars live.

In Hollywood we did the Walk of Fame (again), saw the Chinese Theatre and the Kodak Theatre. The Kodak Theatre is where they hold the Academy Awards. At the Chinese Theatre I found Daniel Radcliff’s, Emma Watson’s and Rupert Grint’s hand and footprints. They are from Harry Potter, my favourite movies.

W e stayed at a hotel on Rodeo Drive. This is where there are overly expensive shops and where all the stars come to shop.

In Carmel we visited Carmel mission. Carmel mission was built in 1737 it was a very beautiful church.

We stopped for lunch in Monterey. While we were there we saw some sea lions playing in the water. After lunch we went to Customs House where the people that where on trading boats had to show the goods that they where going to trade. After Customs House we went to the Maritime Museum. In the Maritime Museum there was the top of an old lighthouse and different things that were used on ships.

When we got into town we had breakfast and shopped till we dropped. I bought a book.Then we caught a taxi back to our hotel.For dinner we had San Franciscan styled pizza this shop had been open for 53 years.

We got to San Francisco really quickly. When we got there we had lunch at Fisherman’s Wharf, my mum and I had soup in a bread bowl YUM! Then we had to go line up to hop on a cruise around San Francisco Bay. We went under the Golden Gate Bridge, saw Alcatraz Prison and we also saw some sea lions playing in the water.

After the cruise we went on a city tour we drove on the Golden Gate Bridge, we drove along part of the windiest street in the world, we went in a beautiful church and saw some very different houses.

Then we arrived at our hotel and went out for dinner with some of daddy’s friends.

We went for a walk through the park and saw some squirrels. There was a tree called the grizzly giant and this is the largest trees in the park. Yosemite was a very beautiful park.

I brought a black bear which had a tag similar to the tags the rangers put on the bears in the park. The money goes into research for black bears.

P.S. I have two more coins to collect.

Up on Mammoth Lake it had snowed and we saw snow on the mountains. I had a snowball fight with Kirby and her brother Jared.

My dad saw a baby and a mummy bear trying to eat the trash. The hotel people chased them away.

At dinner we sat down at a table with people from the bus. They were from Mudgee Australia and also from Belgium and Spain. Pedro who was from Spain, had his birthday.

The Venetian Casino was about Venice. It had a canal with gondolas, which you could ride on with gondoliers. One of the gondoliers was singing. Ceasers Casino was about Rome.We saw Roman guards with Cleopatra.

We also went to M&Ms World today. This is a 5 story shop packed with M&M stuff and M&Ms in loads of colours.

At night we went and saw a musical in the Venetian Casino, called The Phantom of the Opera. I thought it was really cool. I really liked it when the chandelier fell.

When we arrived in Las Vegas we had a night tour, all the casinos were lit up and had a theme. . The first thing we saw was a show outside a casino called Treasure Island. It was a pirate show called Sirens Treasure Island, during the show there was fireworks. The building I liked the most was Paris, because it had the Eiffel Tower that looked so real. It felt liked day time inside when it was night time outside, because the ceiling was painted blue with clouds. It had little buildings inside that were shops and made you feel like you were in Paris.

On the other side of Paris there was a large fountain that danced to music and shot water up really high.
